The team has been in a rich vein of form which has seen them go from the foot of the table to mid-table with a glimmer of hope still remaining for a promotion push. Broadford currently sit in 7 th place on twenty seven points with eight games remaining. The Ballinteer side enjoyed a victory on Sunday over St. Francis who currently sits in fourth place just one point above Broadford. The victory yesterday saw Broadford record their fourth straight victory in the league which marks their best run in the league so far this season.
Broadford had very much struggled for form at the start of the season as they only managed to win one out of their first nine league games. This miserable run of form saw the side as early relegation contenders.
Injuries however have plagued the Ballinteer side for most of the season as even at this moment the club are still awaiting several players to come back from long term injuries over the next month. In spite of their injury crisis the team has managed to rally together and their impressive run of form has seen them march up the table. Victories over Greenhills, Mid-Sutton and Pegausus saw the club slowly climb back up the table. Following the Christmas break however the team experienced two slip ups again as they narrowly lost to promotion chasers Kilbarrack and they suffered a loss to local rivals Leicester Celtic.
The end of January would see the team return to winning ways as a win away to Hartstown set the tone for the next month. That away win was followed up by an impressive victory at home to Mullingar as the team really started to begin to gel. Next up was another victory on the road as the Ballinteer side grinded out a win against Mid-Sutton on a difficult pitch.
Momentum is definitely with the Ballinteer side as the victory over promotion rivals St. Francis on Sunday would suggest.
